SERCUL Committee
The following people are the voluntary committee who as community
members oversee the management of SERCUL.
Chairperson
- Pat Hart
I have been very fortunate to have been involved with the management
of our natural environment for many years. I live on a rural property
in Roleystone opposite the Canning River which means I am fortunate
to live in a beautiful valley that can only inspire and lift one’s
commitment to do whatever is necessary to make a difference to our
precious environment. It has been a fascinating journey filled with
highs and lows but most importantly has put me in touch with some
fantastic, committed and memorable people who have helped me in
all the various experiences this journey ‘to make a difference’
takes us through.
I have had many positions and experiences including
formation of the Swan Avon ICMG and inaugural chair Swan Working
Group (now Perth NRM). Board member of the Swan River Trust for
eight years, 12 years as Local Government Councillor, inaugural
chair of Canning Catchment Coordinating Group (now SERCUL), 8 years
Board member Swan River Trust; 8 years Board member Botanic Parks
and Gardens Authority, facilitated the setting up of Roleystone
Dieback Group, Board member of Perth NRM. Chair South East Regional
Advisory Group addressing greenhouse gases.
Deputy
Chair - Marc Lane
I am retired but I volunteer as a Guide at the Perth Zoo; Keeper/Guide
at the Armadale Reptile Centre; a member of the Friends of Ellis
Brook Valley; a member of SEAP (Scouting Environmental Awareness
Program). I was a Cub Scout Leader for 28 years.
I also run Nature Rambles at Ellis Brook Valley for the
City of Gosnells and Friends of Ellis Brook, and host Ghost Walks
for the City of Gosnells.
Treasurer
- Cam Clay
I am a retired bank officer and along with my wife Faye live on
a rural property in Bedfordale. We both have a life long affinity
with the Natural Environment. Mine instilled by my father a bushman/hunter
in his early years and Faye as a youngster by her bushwalking parents.
Since our respective retirements we have both had extensive hands
on involvement with local groups.
Currently I am the Chairman of Armadale Gosnells
Landcare Group, a position I have held for 10 years, Hon Treasurer
of South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare since its inception,
Chairman of Bedfordale Creeks Advisory Committee, Deputy Presiding
Officer of City of Armadale's "Bushcare and Environmental Advisory
Committee" where I represent Bedfordale Volunteer Bushfire
Brigade an organisation I have been involved with for over 30 years
and am a Life Member & currently hold the position of Communications
Officer.
