Clean Up Australia Day Event
with River Guardians
Are you tired of seeing rubbish in and around
the rivers? If so, come and join other River Guardians and staff from the Swan River Trust, Department of Environment and Conservation, Keep Australia Beautiful Council’s Adopt A Spot program and Water Police as we clean up the river on Clean Up Australia Day. Rubbish left by careless people can endanger humans and wildlife. Dolphin calves are particularly vulnerable to entanglement from discarded fishing line and plastic, but you can help you make a difference!

Wear appropriate protective gear. This includes, gardening / rubber gloves or some other apparatus for picking up rubbish (e.g. an old pair of tongs), sun protection and appropriate footwear. All bags will be supplied. Morning tea will be provided to thank all volunteers. We look forward to working with you to protect our precious rivers.
