Friends of G O Edwards Park

The Friends of G O Edwards Park is a group of local volunteers who identify, discuss and
report issues relating to the G O Edwards
Park maintenance, development and use.

We have an established 'clean up' roster
removing litter from the park and lake edge.
We meet on a monthly basis with input from
the local council environmental officers. We
provide a community voice to recognise and
sustain a healthy open space.

Our goals are to:

Create a natural environment for the community to engage with

Provide planned areas specifically for children to explore the natural environment

Sustain a healthy habitat for wildlife as both local habitat and habitat corridor

Enable the community to recognise and contribute to sustaining a healthy and
   aesthetic open space.
