Julie RobertJulie Robert - Regional Coordinator
Julie is the Regional Coordinator for the south region. Her main roles include staff & business management at SERCUL and the coordination/implementation of NRM in the south region.

Julie liaises with Local Govt., State Agencies, politicians, community environment groups and the corporate business world to encourage and promote the opportunistic integration of NRM into as many planning and decision-making processes as is possible. She provides technical support to the staff and oversees the delivery of the strategic projects developed within the Swan Regional Strategy and the Swan Canning Cleanup Program. Julie also provides technical and moral support to community environment groups. Mobile: 0408 363 825


Sandy WainwrightSandy Wainwright - Financial Administration Officer
Sandy is responsible for the management of SERCUL’s financial records and staff salaries, as well as the finances of the Bannister Creek Catchment Group, Two Rivers Catchment Group and the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group. Sandy also assists other environmental groups in the South area with their financial management.

Employed three days a week Sandy’s duties also include assisting with the administration and everyday running of the SERCUL office. She is volunteer treasurer for both TRCG and BCCG.

 

Amy KrupaAmy Krupa - Phosphorus Awareness Project Coordinator
Amy is the Coordinator of the Phosphorus Awareness Project. Amy targets the general community, schools, community groups, local government and key high nutrient use industries, such as nurseries.

This is achieved through school visits, community presentations, planting days, community field days and fairs, industry field days, provision of information to target industries, displays in community areas such as libraries and community and local government and community surveys.

Ana TerrazasAna Terrazas - Water Quality Officer
Ana’s main role is to assist drainage managers develop and implement water quality monitoring programs. The Department of Environment and Conservation have recently developed a Statewide Water Quality Monitoring Framework and Ana will be working closely with Local Governments and other organisations to implement monitoring in line with the framework.

Ana also implements and evaluates the Clean Drains River Gains project. This involves liaising, assisting and encouraging community, local governments and industry to undertake on-ground works and involvement in stormwater educational activities. Mobile: 0421 842 217

 

Tom AtkinsonTom Atkinson - Drainage Nutrient Intervention Officer
Tom’s main role is to support the Swan River Trusts Drainage Nutrient Intervention Program in the South Region. Current projects include the Liege St Wetland, Woodlupine Living Stream, Anvil Way basin and Bickley Rd basin. Several more projects are currently being developed within the region including in the South Belmont main drain in the City of Belmont and the Mills St and Wharf St drains in the City of Canning.

Tom is also happy to assist councils, groups, businesses or individuals with there endeavors to repair natural areas and waterways.

 

Melinda SnowballMelinda Snowball - Landcare Officer
Melinda has taken on the exciting role that Graham Thompson provided, focusing on developing and managing community based restoration projects. Melinda will liaise and assist with local catchment and landcare groups, friends of groups, community and volunteers to carry out on ground works and stimulate involvement in education activities.

Current projects are the restoration of Hawkesbury Lakes and Vellgrove Avenue waterway also the Lynwood Primary School understorey project. Melinda also works closely with the Bannister Creek Catchment Group and Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group to assist with restoration works and volunteer support.

Tracy EvansTracy Evans - Landcare Officer
Tracy's main role is to support the SERCUL staff in their endeavors, to undertake restoration work on the Swan and Canning rivers and their tributaries. This has included assisting with the implementation of the landscaping of the Western Power Sub-station and also the restoration of the waterways around the landcare centre in Beckenham. Tracy is also currently completing a Conservation and Land Management certificate at Tafe.

 

Glen ByleveldGlen Byleveld - Canning River Project Officer
Glen’s role with SERCUL involves the identification and prioritization of critical habitat areas within the Canning River System and on-ground works commenced to address key threats to those assets. This project considers recommendations made in the Swan /Canning Rivers Foreshore Assessment and Management Strategy produced by the Swan River Trust and weed control measures outlined by Department of Environment and Conservation ‘Environmental weed census and prioritization for the Swan region, 2008. Glen’s position also involves the implementation of Phytopthora Dieback Management Plans in partnership with relevant land managers and key stakeholder groups. This position is kindly funded by Perth region NRM/ Australian Government Caring for Our Country funding program.

 

Crystal McIvorCrystal McIvor
Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group Coordinator
Crystal works within the Cities of Armadale and Gosnells in the catchment area of the Upper Canning Southern Wungong Catchment.

Her role is to address the aims and objectives of the Upper-Canning Southern-Wungong Management Plan. This work is undertaken with contributions of various community groups, local council and government agencies. In turn, Crystal's role is to provide support services and assist in the coordination of these efforts in achieving the objectives of the management plan. Mobile: 0412 713 582
