Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Technology, Central Institute of Technology, 2014; BSc- Major in Conservation and Wildlife Biology with minor of Identify Environmental Issue and Bioinformatics, Murdoch University, 2019.

Darren joined SERCUL in 2014 right before completing the diploma course. He continued working as an environmental field technician while studying at Murdoch University, thus accumulated over five years of field experience.

He has a rich understanding of ecosystem services and ecological restoration, keen interests with freshwater ecology and macro-invertebrate, and voluntarily, involved with numerous community-oriented education workshops as topic presenter and communicator.

Darren manages environmental restoration projects in Bannister Creek and other waterways, wetlands and riparian areas within The City of Canning. Additionally, supports community groups reside within the city and coordinate restoration actions across managed sectors.
