My passion for conserving nature grew in my childhood as I followed my dad around our farm and the Shire of Dumbleyung.

I was for many years involved in the battle to prevent Roe8 being constructed through the Beeliar Regional Park and now work on the rehabilitation of the communities and the land affected by the clearing prior to the project stopping.

I deeply believe that the quality of our lives is greatly improved by creating and nurturing our connections with natural areas and to this end I am involved in a number of groups including the Wildflower Society, The Wetlands Centre at Cockburn,  the Wetlands Conservation Society, the WA Insect Study Society and the Waterbird Conservation Group.  I think of myself of a kind of cross pollinator of ideas between groups so that we can grow healthy sustainable groups to support our communities and natural areas.
