Harry’s interest and passion in nature conservation and sustainability started from when he was in high school. He grew up in Melbourne and could recall his school visit to CERES Community Environment Park in East Brunswick, which sparked his interests and curiosity.

Harry was trained in both civil engineering and environmental science at the University of Melbourne.  Harry is a chartered professional engineer by profession specialising in coastal and marine infrastructure and environment.

Harry plays an active role in the local community as the president of the Friends of Jandakot Regional Park.  Harry is also a committee member for Engineers Australia College of Leadership & Management (WA Chapter) and World Association for Waterborne Transport (WA Chapter). He was also part of the Office of Multicultural Interests’ Governance Development Program 2021 cohort.
