Canning Community Landcare Officer
Catherine White has joined the team as the Canning Community Landcare officer. Catherine has always been passionate about the environment and has volunteered both locally and overseas for the past ten years. After graduating in 2019 with a Bsc in ‘Conservation Biology’ from the University of Western Australia, Catherine has spent the last three years working in in land care and restoration.
Catherine’s previous position at APACE nursery has given her an extensive knowledge of native plant propagation and instillation. She has worked extensively with provenance species and will use this knowledge as a foundation for her projects. Catherine’s role will be to work with community groups in the City of Canning to support restoration projects. She will continue to work closely with the Bannister Creek Catchment Group.
